Tech Digest brings us news of two new DVD/HDD recorders from Hitachi.

The Memory Master DV-DS163E (with 160GB hard drive) and the DV-DS253E (with 250GB hard drive) should be on sale soon.

Apparently they can also save mp3 and JPEG files, although how easy all of that is to do depends on the interface.
