It was only a couple of years ago that DVD players were just breaking the £100 barrier, while even basic DVD recorders were still setting you back over £300. Now Cello, via SavaStore are selling a DVD recorder for a mammoth £49.

The Cello R100B DVD Recorder isn't brilliantly specced (but what do you expect for less than 50 quid?), however it has a basic set of inputs and outputs and would certainly do the job if all you want to do is record onto DVD like you use your VHS.
