GoVideo today announced the introduction of its new line of advanced easy-to-use DVD Recorders packed with powerful video editing and playback capabilities.

Three new affordably priced models (models R6540, R6640, and R6740) offer the outstanding digital sound and crisp, clear picture quality only DVD can deliver, coupled with the ability to archive your existing
library of VHS tapes and to record popular TV shows directly to DVD discs, all in one unit.

These new models join GoVideo's family of DVD Recording products that include the award-winning VR3930 and VR4940 DVD Recorder+VCRs. Offering an extended line of single-well and Dual-Deck combination DVD recorder products enables GoVideo to address the distinctive needs of the different segments of the market.

New Models Integrate DoMiNoFX(TM) Technology, EZ-Guide, YourDVD(TM), AutoPlay, and Firewire Connections

Create enhanced quality DVDs by digitally improving the output signal using DoMiNoFX(TM) technology, available only on the R6640 DVD Recorder model. Incorporating TrueScan(TM), TrueView(TM) Pro, and PerfectView(R) Pro, these three patented DoMiNoFX(TM) processes take standard video and improves the quality for a sharp, crisp picture. The R6640 also features big buttons on the front panel and an intuitive interface for easy navigation.

The R6740 features an integrated EZ-Guide feature that helps make the DVD recording experience easy and fun by walking users step-by-step through recording a variety of content to DVD. An intuitive sequence of questions and instructions appear onscreen to guide users from start to finish through the recording process. The R6740 model also comes with GoVideo's innovative AutoPlay feature. This feature automatically skips ads, trailers and menus, jumping right to the start of the movie. Simply place the disc in the tray, press the play key, and the movie starts without interruption.

The R6640 and R6740 each come in a sleek, slimline design and carry GoVideo's YourDVD(TM) feature, enabling easier playback of DVDs for both adults and children. YourDVD(TM) permanently stores the set-up preferences that on most other DVD players need to be checked or unchecked every time you load a new DVD.

GoVideo's new line of next generation DVD Recorders offer unprecedented flexibility in recording to DVD+R and DVD+RW discs using five record-quality settings ranging from one to six hours, and in playing back DVDs, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, music CDs, and MP3 audio and JPEG image files on CD-R/RW. Easily record TV programs to DVD using the built-in 181-channel tuner and timer-recording feature.

The front panel Firewire connection on each new model allows users to effortlessly create and edit home movie DVDs from footage recorded on their digital camcorder. All models feature progressive scan video output, and both coaxial and optical digital audio output for superior quality sound.

"Our new DVD Recorders are designed to be the most advanced yet easy to use on the market today," said Jerry Barbera, GoVideo's vice president of sales and channel marketing. "Providing intuitive features that enhance DVD
recording capabilities enables the transition from VHS to DVD to be smooth and transparent."

GoVideo White Glove Customer Care Leads Industry In Educating Consumers On DVD Recording. Each new DVD Recorder is backed by GoVideo's exclusive White Glove Customer Care. Free recordable media is included in every DVD Recorder box with instructions for customers to call GoVideo so they can be walked through their first DVD recording -- for free. GoVideo understands that transitioning
from traditional VCRs to today's popular and versatile DVD Recorders can sometimes be intimidating, and GoVideo is seeking to eliminate any fears of switching to a new technology by educating consumers using step-by-step instructions. No other consumer electronics manufacturer offers this level of
customer support and convenience.

"Dealer feedback indicates that our White Glove Program significantly increases customer satisfaction in the DVD recording category," added Barbera. "We plan to continually enhance this program to improve the quality of the customer experience."

GoVideo's new line of DVD Recorders are available now in retailers throughout the U.S. The R6540 model retails for $249.99, while the R6640 and R6740 models retail for $299.99.
