If the two DVDR-100e 's I tried had worked the score would have been a high one as very easy to use, picture great and timeslip excellent. They even played dvd+ which the book said they would't. Unfortunately both original and replacement hooked-up, wouldn't accept my camcorder DV in and one of them was extremely noisy (there is a fan constantly running at the back of the unit). Strangely the unit will not play discs with labels or discs which have been printed on at home, possibly due to the internal heat affecting the label glue or flaking the ink. So forget about identifying the recordings you make with the Samsung if you are lucky enough to get one working! Samsung customer service easy to get through to but are no help and never ring back.
